A premiership player and one of the stars of the Sydney Swans’ midfield, Parker enjoyed another big season in 2016. He played all 26 games, averaging 26.9 disposals a match, and was rewarded with his first All-Australian selection. The tough midfielder finished fourth in the Bob Skilton Medal and polled a career-high 26 votes to finish second behind runaway winner Patrick Dangerfield in the Brownlow Medal. His ability to play as a dangerous forward was rubber stamped after kicking a career-high 25 goals.
